THE HONORABLE CHAIR & TRUSTEES OWASSO PUBLIC GOLF AUTHORITY FROM. RUSSELL CA SON DIRECTOR OF GOLF SUBJECT- OPGA RESOLUTION ff2001-01 TEMPORARY INCREASE TO TEE GREEN FEES SCHEDULE DATE- January 3, 2001 BACKGROUND-. The U.S. Open will be held this June 11-17 at Southern. Hills Country Club in Tulsa. Events of this magnitude bring excitement, anticipation and activity for the Tulsa Metropolitan golfing establishments, Southern Hills also hosted the 1994 PGA Championship (held in August), during which Bailey Ranch averaged. 180 rounds of golf per day. Taking the "Tiger Woods Storm" into effect, not only will we be at capacity, rather most likely demand will crush the supply of our outstanding facility. Go®f Digest "Places You Can Play" recently rated Bailey Ranch a FOUR star facility (the highest ranking in the Metro area). Most metropolitan courses are planning a rate adjustment from a permanent standpoint, while our main competition has instituted a temporary adjustment. Institute temporary price increases as follows: TYPE OF FEE Regular Weekday Regular Weekend Weekday Tournament Weekend Tournament 14W1+ 0 Ioffl PROPOSED RATE $35.00 $35.00 $75.00 $75.00 Owasso Resident and Patron rates will NOT be affected. This temporary adjustment will bring in an additional $9,000-$12,000 in revenue. OPOA RESOLUTION #2001-01 JANUARY 3, 2001 Page 2 I a COMMENDATION.
