ROBERT CARR, J , PX PUBLIC WORKS DIRECTOR SUBJECT: WASTEWATER TREATMEN,r PLANT IMPROVEMENTS (PHASE 11) CONSTRUCTION BID AWARD DATE: March 19 2000 BACKGROUND: The existing City of Owasso wastewater treatment facility was constructed in 1986. Phase I improvements to meet changes in water quality criteria were completed in 19980 The plant consists primarily of an oxidation ditch with external clarifiers, effluent ultraviolet light disinfection and reaeration, and sludge drying beds. The plant improvements were designed to treat an average daily flow of 2.15 million gallons per day (MGD).
