STAFF COMMENTS: The FY 2010-2011 Capital Improvement Fund included
$160,000 for construction of a handicapped accessible restroom. The restroom
facility i s centrally located to serve the entire area of the Sports Park South
baseball fields and is identical to the three existing restroom facilities. On
December 10, 2010, the City Council awarded the construction contract to
TriStar Construction of Claremore, Oklahoma in the amount of $153,021. The
restroom was substantially complete and open to the public in March 2011.
Minor fixtures were on back order which prolonged the punch list completion of
the project. The final invoice from the contractor was received on January 19,
2012. On February 7, 2012, the City Council accepted the completed project
and approved the final payment to Tri -Star Construction in the amount of
$15,302.10. Additional project costs included $2,000 for lighting and $800 for
limestone screenings to stabilize the base, for a total project cost of $155,821.
