HomeMy WebLinkAbout2011.04.13_Quality of Life Initiative ProjectPROJECT COMPLETION REPORT PROJECT: Quality of Life Initiative Proiect DATE PROJECT WAS INITIATED: December 17, 2009 DATE PROJECT WAS COMPLETED: April 13, 2011 DEPARTMENT RESPONSIBILITY FOR PROJECT: Community Development Department STAFF COMMENTS: The project took approximately one year and four months to complete from the time the contracts were initiated until the final community vision document was adopted by the City Council in March 2011. The project involved 6 open public workshops and an on -line interactive survey, which was hosted by Harris (Wikiplanning) out of Charlotte, North Carolina for a period of 3 months. The final plan report is to be used as a policy document that establishes guiding development principles for the City of Owasso and may be viewed on the city's website. In addition, a hard copy of the report is available at the Owasso Library and City Hall. The final invoice received from Alaback Associates was dated April 13, 2011 at which time 100% of the project was completed. The contract amounts for the project were $113,960 for Alaback Associates and $4,750 from Ryan Harris (Wikiplanning). The total amount spent on the project was $118,710. There were no change orders associated with the project. City staff is already utilizing the document in crafting some changes to current development regulations and in making decisions on the allocation of resources.
