AN ORDINANCE APPROVING ZONING APPLICATION NUMBER OZ -14 -02 REZONING A TRACT OF
LAND IN THE SE /4 OF THE SW /4 OF SECTION 9 TOWNSHIP 21 NORTH, RANGE 14 EAST, TULSA,
COUNTY, OKLAHOMA, FROM AG (AGRICULTURAL) DISTRICT TO OM (OFFICE MEDIUM) DISTRICT,
AND REPEALING ALL ORDINANCES OR PARTS OF ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT HEREWITH.
WHEREAS, public hearings have been held regarding the request for rezoning of the
property herein described; and,
WHEREAS, the Owasso City Council has considered the recommendation of the
Owasso Planning Commission and all statements for or against the requested rezoning the
property referenced in application OZ- 14 -02.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF OWASSO,
OKLAHOMA, THAT TO WIT:

Section 1. All ordinances, or parts of ordinances, in conflict with this ordinance are
hereby repealed to the extent of the conflict only.
Section 2. If any part or parts of this ordinance are deemed unconstitutional, invalid
or ineffective, the remaining portion shall not be affected but shall remain in full force and
effect.
Section 3. The provisions of this ordinance shall become effective thirty (30) days
from the date of final passage as provided by state law.
Section 4. That there be filed in the office of the County Clerk of Tulsa County,
Oklahoma, a true and correct copy of this Ordinance and correct map of the territory
rezoned.

BACKGROUND:
On May 20, 2014, City Council considered the rezoning of property planned for the
development of the Rejoice Christian School campus, located west of the west service road
area of US -169 and north of E 106th St North. The Council voted unanimously to approve
rezoning request OZ- 14 -02, taking the subject property from an AG (Agriculture) zoning to OM
(Office Medium). The attached ordinance officially rezones the property, codifying the action
taken by the Council.
RECOMMENDATION:
Staff recommends approval of Ordinance No. 1031 approving zoning application number OZ-
14-02 rezoning a tract of land in the SWSE /4 of the SW /4 of Section 9 Township 21 North, Range
14 East, land known as the Rejoice Christian School campus.
