HomeMy WebLinkAbout1988.08.01_City Council Minutes+~"" OWASSO -CITY -'COUNCIL PAGE ONE r Ai~GUST 1,~ 1988 On Monday, August 1, 1988 the Owasso City Council met in a special session in the Council Chambers at the Community Center per the Notice of Public Meeting and Agenda posted on the City Hall bulletin board at 4:00 p.m, on Thursday, July 28, 1988. ITEM 1: CALL TO ORDER. The meeting was called to order at 7:52 p.m. with Mayor Lamb presiding. ITEM 2: FLAG SALUTE. The flag salute was led by Mayor Lamb. ITEM 3: ROLL CALL. PRESENT: Stacy P. Lamb, Mayor Patricia Marlar, Vice Mayor Mark Thompson, Councilman Rodney J. Ray, City Manager' ~~ Ronald D. Cates, City Attorney Jane Buchanan, City Clerk ABSENT: Von E. Stockler, Councilman John P. Phillips, Councilman ITEM 4: RECEIVE AND REVIEW PROPOSALS FROM FINANCIAL CONSULTANTS AND BOND COUNSEL. GENERAL DISCUSSION RELATIVE TO THOSE PROPOSALS. Mr. Ray stated five proposals have been received from financial advisors and one proposal from bond counsel. Representatives from the five advisors were present to give their presentation to Council. The following presentations were given: (1) Mr. John H. Banks with Woolsey and Company; (2) Mr. Robert B. Lewis and Mr. Rick A. Smith with Leo Oppenheim Company; 1 OWASSO CITY COUNCIL PAGE TWO AUGUST 1, 1988 (3) Mr. Stephen L. Smith with Evan L, Davis, Inc.; (4) Mr. Michael B, Garrett and Mr. John L. Martin, Jr. with Stifel, Nicholaus; and (5) Mr. Greg Nieto, Mr. Paul Nieto and Mr. Paul Johanning with Neito and Associates. The bond counsel present was Mr, Thomas Hilborne with Jones- Givens-Hilbo.urne. After the presentations were given Council discussed and reviewed the proposals. ITEM 5: ADJOURN. ~ w. With there being no further business, Mayor Lamb asked for a motion to adjourn. A motion was made by M. Thompson, seconded by P. Marlar, to adjourn.
