HomeMy WebLinkAbout1996 06_Adopting Specifications for street construction_1996.03.194 WHEREAS, pursuant to the provisions of Part 14 - Streets and Public Works, Chapter 7 - Street Design, Sect-Ion 'A 4 -701, 1, Design Standards of the Code of Ordinances of the City of Owasso, Oklahoma, the City Council is authorized to adopt standard specifications for street construction by resolution as well as, from time to time, amend such standard specifications for street construction also by resolution, and, WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Owasso, Oklahoma, has determined that there presently exists within the development community of the City of Owasso, Oklahoma, uncertainty as regards minimum paving widths off"alleys, residential - minor streets, residential - collector streets, industrial service streets, and commercial/industrial collector streets, and that by reason thereof the City Council, pursuant to the provisions of Section 14-701 of the Code of Ordinances of the City of Owasso, Oklahoma, should eliminate any uncertainty by said City Council's resolve as to the street design standards of the City of Owasso, Oklahoma, as relates to minimum paving widths of the above referenced streets. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF OWASSO, OKLAHOMA, THAT, TO-WIT- The design standard of alleys, residential - minor streets, residential - collector streets, design service streets, and commercial/industrial collector streets within the City of Owasso, Oklahoma, as relates to the mirii'mum paving widths thereof, shall be those as set forth on Exhibit "A" - Minimum Paving Widths, attached hereto and made a -part hereof The foregoing design standards of the above referenced streets as relates to the minimum paving widths shall be in full force and effect from and after the 19th day of March, 1996 Dated this 19th day of March, 1996.
