PROPOSED TULSA COUNTY CRIMINAL DETENTION
FACILITY.
'11" 24E, AS, the Board of Trustees of the Authority has heretofore, on February 2, 1996,
resolved that the criminal detention facility to be constructed as approved by the voters of Tulsq
County on September 12, 1995, be named THE DAVID L. MOSS CRIMINAL JUSTICE
CENTER in his honor and in recognition of his dedicated service to all residents of Tulsa
County, Oklahoma; and,
WHEREAS, it is the desire of the City Council to resolve its support of the action taken
by the Authority to name the criminal detention facility.

RESOLUTION #96-001
A RESOLUTION TO HONOR DAVID L.. MOSS
WHEREAS, David'.. Moss began his employment as an Assistant District Attorney
in 1974 and served as District Attorney from his appointment in 1981 by Governor
George Nigh until his death on November 26, 1995, at the age of 47; and
kP�JHEREAS,.David L. Moss was known as a man of great integrity, honesty, and
devotion to his family, church, profession, young people, and to easing the burdens
of victims of criminal acts; and
WHEREAS, David L. Moss worked tirelessly to make Tulsa County a safer place in
which to live and was highly regarded by his colleagues and the community he
seri,,ed.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of Trustees of the Tulsa
-County Criminal Justice Authority that the. criminal detention facility which will be
constructed a,-,; approved by the voters on September 12,1995, shall be earned
