O A -06 -10 - �����op ����� l��r���_R�� �� o� .A request for a variance to allow the reduction in the required building setback line to allow for an existing storage building, on a property zoned RS -3 (Residential Single- Family), located at 2201 North Dogwood Street. Joe Rainey presented the item. Chip reviewed the staff report and described the property location. The applicant is requesting a variance to allow the reduction in the required building setback line to allow for an existing storage building, on a property zoned RS-3, located at 2201 forth Dogwood Street. Letters were mailed to all property owners within 300 feet of the subject property and advertised in the Owasso Reporter. Charles Brown moved to approve OBOA 06 -10. lien Foster seconded the motion. A vote on the motion was recorded as follows: AYE: foster, Ramey, Brown NAY: Done The motion carried 3 -0. OOA- 06 -11 -- A request for a variance to allow a free- standing pole sign to be located at 13413 East 106`1' Street North, with a proposed height of 30 feet, and an area of 672 sq. ft. on property zoned OM (Office Medium). BOARD OF ADJUSTMENT' November 28, 2006 Page 2 of 2 Joe Ramey presented the item. Chip reviewed the staff report and described the property location. The applicant is requesting a variance to allow for a free - standing polo sign with aproposed height of 30 feet, and an area of 672 sq. ft. bettors were mailed to all property owners within 300 foot of the subject property and the notice was advertised in the Owasso Reporter. To this date, the staff has not received any comments concerning; the request. Staff believes the variarice is riot necessary dire to the circumstances related to the location of the subbj ect property. Visibility of the site is riot hindered, as the site is adjacent to ighway 169 with good visibility. The Chairperson asked if there were any comments or questions fi°orn the audience, Mr. Mike Culbreath with First preewill Church asked if he could make a brief °presentation. Mr. C°ulbroath stated that the subject property is located on 42 acres and the requested sign will riot be intrusive on such a large tract of land. He also assured the Board Members that the proposed sign would be more than 200 feet off the Owasso Expressway. Mr. Mike Eoffer, a nearby property owner, stated that he had no problem with approval of the variance. Mr. Chris Chase, a nearby property owner, stated that fie does have a problem with the variance and would life to see the Board deny the request. Joe Rarney moved to approve OBOA 06A L Ken Foster seconded the motion. A vote orr the motion was recorded as follows: AYE: Foster, Ramey NAY: brown The variance was denied 2- -1. 6. Other Business 7.
