Code, Section 1002, .Areawide Special Exception Uses, TO ALLOW FOR. A NON-
PERMANENT'VENDOR IN A COMMERCIAL SHOPPING DIS T ICT on property
zoned C'S (Commercial Shopping Center District). The proposed use of the property is as
a concessions vender. The subject property is described as Lot 1, dock 1, Owasso
Market 11, and further described as Lowe's parking lot, 12001 Es 96`1' St. N., Owasso, OK.
Joe Ramey presented the item, Chip reviewed the staff report and the property location
was described. The proposed use of the property is as a concessions vendor. Letters were
mailed to property owners within three - hundred (300) feet of the subject property and
advertised in the Owasso Reporter on May 10, 2005. There has been no opposition from
the nearby property owners. Chip mentioned that an approval letter from Lowe's was
received. The applicant, Mr. Joe Miller, was present to answer questions. Mr. Miller
assured the Board Members that the trailer would be open for business only on Fridays,
Saturdays and Sundays. He also stated that he would like approval just until winter
begins. Discussion was held regarding the length of time that should be allowed. Dan
Draper explained that he doesn't mind trying this one but has concerns with the
possibility of more concession trailers wanting approval.
Dan Draper moved to approve OBOA-05 -06 with the following recommendations:
1. The applicant must provide on -site trash receptacles.
