A vote on the motion was recorded as follows: AYE: Ramey, Hall, Draper, Wallace, Foster NAY: None The notion carried 5.0. 41 OBOA -03-23 -- William Lisenbe_e — A request for a Special Exception, TO ALLOW FOR THE CONSTRUCTION OF A CARPORT IN A RESIDENTIAL DISTRICT. The subject property is described at 10801 E. 112"' St. N., in Male .Acres, Owasso, Tulsa County, Oklahoma. Duane presented the item and the property location was described. Carports are allowed in the City of Owasso by Special Exception requiring Board of Adjustment approval. Hale Acres is zoned RSwl and with that designation there is a 35' building setback. The proposed carport would still be approximately 15' from the street, Letters were mailed to property owners within 300' of the subject property and the request was advertised in the Owasso reporter. Staff received no objections concerning this request. Staff recommends approval with the consideration of additional elements to improve the carports appearance or surroundings, Mr. William Lisenbee, the applicant, was present to answer questions. He presented a manufacture's brochure to the Board Members. Dan Draper moved to approve OBOA- 03`23, to allow for the construction of a carport in a residential district, Craig Wallace seconded the motion. A vote on the motion was recorded as follows: AYE: Ramey, _Hall, Draper, Wallace, poster NAY: None The motion carried 5-0. BOARD OF ADJUSTMENT October 28, 2003 Page 2 of 3 5. .0110A-03-24 Jake Britton _ A request for a Variance, TO ALLOW FOR THE CONSTRUCTION OF TWO DWELLING UNIT'S OVE 'fHE REAR 50' BIJILDING LINE ITS A. RESIDENTIAL DISTRICT. The subject: properties are located at 11 903 11505 E. 105 St, M Duane presented the item and described the location of the subject property. Duane explained that the houses the applicant wishes to build are situated on an "eyebrow"' shaped, tern in the street. This circular pattern of the street cuts into and diminishes the length of the subject lots. There is a 50' rear setback line that was established as a condition of the plat approval process further limiting building space. Letters were mailed to property owners within 300 feet of the subject property and the request was advertised in the Owasso Reporter. Several calls were received wanting clarification.. Staff recommends approval of the Variance allowing the builder to construct a dwelling unit over the 50' rear setback line but still adhere to the zoning code's prescribed 20' setback line. Mr. Jake Britton, the applicant, was in attendance to address any concerns the Board Meinbers might Dave. Ken Foster moved to approve to Variance request, Dan Draper seconded the motion. A- vote on the motion was recorded as follows: AYE: Ramey, Draper, Foster, Wallace, Hall NAY: None The motion carried 5 -0. 6.
