The meeting agenda was posted in the Owasso City Ball, 207 S Cedar, on Friday,
June 27, 1997 at 10:00 AM.
1. CALL TO ORDER & ROLL CAL L, a John Phillips called the meeting to order at
5 :30 PM and declared a quorum present.
2. election of Officers _ John Phillips moved to table this item until the nest meeting, Joe
Ramey seconded.

3. CONSIDER APPROVAL OF THE MINUTES OF MAY 27, 1997 - John Phillips moved
to approve the minutes, notion was seconded by Joe Ramey,

BOARD OF ADJUSTMENT PITBLIC HEARING
4. O ®A- -97 -05 - A request for a variance of the side yard setback requirements of an RS -3
District. The subject property is described as Lot 13, dock 2, Copper Meadows
Addition, further described as 7828 lei 132nd E Ave.
Mr. Rooney presented the staff report. The applicants are requesting a Variance in order
to allow for the deviation of the required side yard setback of 10 feet to 9.6 feet. Letters
were mailed to surrounding property owners. No objections were received.
Joe Ramey moved to approve the variance request. Motion was seconded by John
Phillips.

5 OBOA_97 -0 _ A request for a variance- in orde to allow for the cons ruction and
placement of a free-standing polar sign exceeding the maximurn allowable square footage
permitted. The subject property is describer?, as a portion of Lot 2, Block 1, Mingo
Valley Shopping Center.
Mr. Rooney presented the staff report. The applicant is requesting a Variance in order
to permit the construction of a free - standing pole sign and to permit 160 square feet in
area. All property owners within 300 feet were notified of the request and no comments
were received regarding this Variance request. Staff recommends approval of the
Variance request, allowing; a pole sign to be constructed with the following condition of
approval:
l . Sign height shall not emceed 30 feet in height.
2. Square footage of the sign shall not exceed 150 square feat.
3, A sign permit is required.

6. OBOA- 97.07 - A request for a variance in order to allow for the construction and
placement of a free-standing pole sign exceeding the maximum allowable square footage
permitted. The subject property is described as a portion of Lot 1, Block 2, Lain plaza
Addition, further described as 12701 F 86th PI No.
Mr. Looney presented the staff report to the Members. The applicant is requesting a
Variance in order to allow a free-standing pole sign with a square footage display area
of 116 square feet, as opposed to 100 square feet. property owners were notified that
lived within 300 feet and no comments or concerns were received. Staff recommends
denial in this case because of the actuality of a hardship is not evident.
Several questions and concerns were addressed regarding this Variance. Joe Ramey
moved to approve the Variance and allow a 116 square foot sign, seconded by John Phillips.
