On Thursday, August 30, 1984, the Owasso City Council met in a
special session in the Council. Chambers at City Hall per the
Notice of Public Hearing and Agenda posted on City Hall bulletin
board at 12:00 a.m, on August 28, 1974.
ITEM l: CALL TO ORDER
The meeting was called to order at 7:08 p.m, with Mayor Spencer
presiding.
ITEM 2: FLAG SALUTE
Flag salute was led by Mayor Spencer.
ITEM 3: ROLL CALL
PRESENT: Boyd M. Spencer, Mayor
Robert Peel, Councilman
James Smalley, Councilman (7:11 p.m.)
Von Stockler, Councilman (.left at 8:45 p.m.)
Lee Dawson, Acting City Manager
Ann Hendrickson, City Clerk
ABSENT: Wauhilleau Webb, Vice-Mayor
ITEM 4: CONSIDERATION OF EXTEDISION OF VICKI McHENRY'S APPOINTMENT
AS DEPUTY COURT CLERK.
Motion was made by Von Stockler, seconded by Robert Peel, to extend
the appointment of Vicki McHenry as Deputy Court Clerk to November
6, 1984.
AYE: Messrs. Spencer, Stockler, Smalley, Peel
NAY: None
Motion carried.
ITEM 5: REQUEST FOR EXECUTIVE SESSION: PERSONNEL MATTER/REVIEW
OF APPLICATIONS SUBMITTED FOR CITY MANAGER POSITION.
ITEM 6: REQUEST FOR EXECUTIVE SESSION: PERSONNEL MATTER/DISCUSSION
OF APPOINTMENT OF PUBLIC WORKS DIRECTOR ON SEPTEMBER 19 4.
Motion was made by James Smalley, seconded by Von Stockler, to combine
Items 5 and 6 and to recess into Executive Session.
AYE: Messrs. Spencer, Stockler, Smalley, Peel
NAY: None
Motion carried.
Meeting recessed at 7:12 p.m, and reconvened at 9:42 p.m.
Mayor Spencer asked that Item 6 be placed on the 5ept..4 Council
agenda. He stated that I~[r. James C. Richardson, Mr. Dan D. Galloway,
Mr. Thomas Mack Crossland and Mr. Lee Dawson would be interviewed

for the position of City Manager at a date and time to be set °'."
at the September 4, 1984 City Counci]. meeting.
There being no further business before the Owasso City Council,
motion was made by James Smalley, seconded by Robert Peel, to
adjourn.
AYE: Messrs. Spencer, Smalley, Peel
NAY: None
Motion carried.
Meeting adjourned at 9:47 p.m.
