HomeMy WebLinkAbout1975.12.15_City Council Minutes- d i ~` l~eA December 15, 1975 The Owasso City Council met in Special session, Monday Evening, December 15th at 6:30 p.m. Present: Jerry Holt Mayor M. E. Williams City Manager Boyd Spencer Counci Iman Marcia G . Riggs City Clerk V. D. Duncan Councilman Delano Lang Public Works Dir. Carroll Joplin Councilman Cline Mansur City Engineer Absent: Bi I I Williams The Council was advised that there were two alternatives on the Pansy Evans Case, those being a settlement out of court or for the City to fight the case. After much discussion, Mr. Duncan moved to fight the case in Court and Mr. Spencer seconded. Ayes: Holt, Spencer, Duncan, Joplin. An agreement between the City and Maurice Fry for a temporary easement to survey and an agreement for an easement to correct the drainage problem from Wilawood Addition across the Fry Property was executed by Mr. Fry and the Council. Mr. Spencer moved for approval of the agreements and Mr. Duncan seconded. Ayes: Holt, Spencer, Duncan, Joplin. Mr. Joplin made a motion that a 1974 Ford Galaxie be purchased from Leland Equipment Company for the sum of $1 ,500.00. He noted that this was an excellent buy, since the purchase price was well below the wholesale price of the car. Payment for the car is due on or before January 15, 1976. Mr. Spencer seconded. Ayes: Holt, Spencer, Duncan, Joplin. Mr. Bud Williams reported he and Mrs. Anderson had met with the Trust Officials at First Nat Tonal Bank 8 Trust Co. and they had agreed to letting the City use $5,000.00 of the amount the water treatment equipment were sold for to re-do the plant. Discussion was held on an additional subsidy for Moore s Ambulance Service. Mr. Moore had requested an additional $500.00 a month as of January 1st. Mr. Duncan moved to defer any action on this matter until Mr. Williams could meet with Moore's and have a more detailed report on the need for the increase. Mr. Spencer seconded. Ayes: Holt, Spencer, Duncan, Joplin. The Council discussed with Mr. Cline Mansur, the charges their firm had made for drawing up the Street and Sidewalk Code and other engineering fees.
