The Owasso City Council met in the City Hall on May 1, 1973 at 7:08 p.m.

~'. Large moved the minutes of the last meeting be approved as read. Mr. Peel seconded
the motion. Ayes: Ross, Peel, Mowery, Large, Duncan.
Mr. Campbell read a letter from Commissioner Harris suggesting the procedure for the
joint venture of installation of the signal at 86th and N. Main.
Mr. Peel moved that we pass an official action of willingness to participate and fund
the project. Mr. Mowery seconded the motion. Ayes: Ross, Peel, Mowery, Large, Duncan.
Mr. Campbell presented a supplementary estimate of needs for appropriation in the amount
of $61,063.39. Mr. Large moved the supplement be approved and sent to the Excise Bca,rd.
Mr. Peel seconded the motion. Ayes: Ross, Peel, Mowery, Large, Duncan.
Mr. Campbell presented Owasso Planning Commission recommendations on zoning:.

Mr. Peel moved we accept the recommendation of the Planning Commission for OZ-2; OZ-4
and the first part of OZ-5 facing Atlanta Street. Mr. Duncan seconded the motion.
Ayes: Ross, Peel, Mowex-y, Large, Duncan.
Mr. McGregor, representing Hale, showed plans for the shopping center and apartments
and gave his plea for zoning. After some discussion, Mr. Mowery moved we approve. the
zoning request for the shopping center facing Main Street, and Mr. Peel seconded the
motion. Mr. Large asked for discussion and suggested a screening fence and some changes
in parking and driveways. Attorney VanDall explained that zoning must be done by
Ordinance and suggested the changes be agreed upon by Hale and the City,the Ordinance
be presented at a continued meeting on May 7, 1973 for a vote. The Council agreed to
the suggestion.
The pastor of the Missionary Baptist Church in the center thanked the Council for the
action.
Mayor, Ross read a letter from Mary Frances Eaton inviting the Councilmen to visit her
back yard to view the water damage.
Mr. Peel moved the meeting continue to Monday, May 7, 1973 at 7:00 p.m. Mr. Mowery
seconded the motion. Ayes: Rosh, Peel, Mowery, Large, Dun 7:53 p.m.
