The Owasso City Council reconvened April 9, 1973 at 7:00 p.m.
Present: Joe Rass Mayor Noble Campbell City Manager

Absent: John Mowery
Mr. Tom Schick thanked the City Council for their help in the Civil Defense
Department in the sharing of federal funds.
Mr. Campbell submitted the following bids for city vehicles:

Mr. Duncan made a motion that the City purchase these vehicles from the
Grager GMC Co. Second: Mr. Large - Ayes: Ross, Peel, Duncan, Large.
Mr. Campbell read a letter from Lewis Harris stating that a signal light
could be installed at 86th St. N. & N. Main for a cost of $6,800.00 to the
City of Owasso.
The Council approved extending the drain outlet on 86th St. North to step
erosion at a cost to the City of $5,041.00 withsthe County furnishing the
labor.
Mr. Evan L. Davis, Bond Counselor, presented Resolution #44. Mr. Peel
moved that this resolution be adopted. Second: Mr. Large. Ayes: .Ross,
Peel, Duncan, Large. Copy of this resolution is attached to and hereby
made a part of these minutes.
Mr. Evan L. Davis also presented Resolution #45. Mr. Peel moved that this
resolution be adopted. Second: Mr. Duncan. Ayes: Ross, Peel, Duncan,Large.
Copy of this resolution is attached to and hereby made apart of these
minutes.
Mr. Hale inquired about the status of the re-Zoning of his shopping center
at 700 N. Main. Mr. Campbell read a letter from Mr. VanDall, Attorney in
regard t~ the re-zoning of property that has been damaged or destroyed.
Mr. Hale asked permission to make certain repairs to the building at
700 N. Main to prevent further damage to his building and equipment. The
Council agreed this would be emergency steps for protection of property
and was approved.
Mr. Hale inquired about the street work that was to be done in front of
his home. Mr. Campbell advised him it would be done as soon as the
weather permitted.

Mr. Campbell also advised Mr. Hale that he felt the drainage problem in
front of the shopping center at 700 N. Main could be corrected with an
over-lay of asphalt.
Claims were presented. Motion for approvpl by Mr. Peel. Second: Mr. Dunca
Ayes; Ross, Peel, Duncan, Large.
Mr. Campbell read a letter from Midwest Cable Television asking what the
City Council's opinion was on cable television for Owasso. The Council
agreed to listen to their proposal.
Mr. Campbell stated he would be attending a meeting of the Oklahoma
Municipal League on Friday, April 13, 1973 and invited other Council
members to go with him.
