The Owasso Town Council met in regular session in the Town Hall Aug. 7,
1972 at 7:08 p.m.

The minutes of the last meeting were read and approved as read.
The new City Charter was approved by the Council, signed and sealed.

bor. Al Anderson asked the Council to consider using the services provided ~.,.
by TMAPC. After discussion, Mr. Peel made a motion that the City of Owasso
use the services provided by TMAPC. Mr. Duncan seconded the motion.
Ayes: Ross, Peel, Large, Duncan.
Mr. Bud Thompson presented the report on Audit prepared by B. W. Vetter & Co.
for the Town of Owasso as of June 30, 1972.
Mr. VanDall stated that at the next meeting the names of six men would be
submitted to the Council. The Council will vote and elect two of then men
to serve as trustees on the Oklahoma TM!Iunicipal Retirement Fund Board.
Mr. Large made a motion that due to the resignation of a part time employee
on the police force, Roger Edwards be employed on a full time basis beginning
9-1-72 with a starting salary of $450.00 per month. Mr. Duncar_ seconded the
motion. Ayes; Ross, Large, Duncan. Nay: Peel

Mr. Peel asked the Council to consider glans for a new
to incorporate underground construction as recommended
with part of the cost of the underground construction
the Civil Defense program.
