The Owasso Town Council met in regular session in the Town Hall June 5, 1972 at 7:00 p.m.

The minutes of the last meeting were read and approved as read.

Air. VanDall presented Ordinance 4143 authorizing police to accept driver's license in
lieu of cash bond for traffic violations. Tylr. Duncan moved we enact the Ordinance.

Mr. VanDall presented Ordinance ~~145, Special Election on City Charter. PTr. Duncan
moved we enact the Ordinance. Mr. Large seconded the motion. Ayes: Peel, Large,
Duncan.
?qtr. John Groth voiced objection to City-Manager form_ of government for Owasso as
proposed by the City Council, but was in agreement with a City Charter.
Itr. Robert Peel issued Proclamation ~~102 for an election to he held .Tuly 18, 1972
for the people of (haasso to vote on the City-?Manager form of government.
Proposed Oklahoma I~[unicipal Retirement Fund for City of Owasso employees was approved
subject to receiving written Ordinance.
Mr. Peel read a letter of resignation from John P~to~A~ery. Resignation to be effective
7-1-72.
Tentative date for Dog I)ay set for June 24, 1972.
r?r. John Croth submitted a list of things that need to be done by the Contractor that
did the Main Street work. List given to Mr. herb Tyler to take care of.
Water shortage was discussed. It was agreed that an emergency plan would be presented
at the next meeting.
