Present: John Groth Gary Evans Howard Stamper William Henson Sheri an Myers Josephine Downey M. S. Sawyer Absent: Joe Ross Chairman of Board Trustee Trustee Trustee Acting Clerk Deputy Clerk Attorney for Town The minutes of the last regular meeting were read and approved as read with one exception on Page 61, as follows: Minutes now read, "Mr. Hale said the town promised him a sewer line..."; Minutes should read, "Mr. Hale said the town promised him an extension of sewer line..." Seconded by Mr. Evans. Ayes: Groth, Evans, Stamper, Henson. REPORT FROM ATTORNEY: Mr. Sawyer presented a Deed of Dedication from Dominick and Phyllis Sokolosky providing legal description of property. In conjunction with this, when Mr. and Mrs. Sokolosky sign this document, there will oe an ordinance abandoning a street at North Main and Twelfth Street, prepared for approval. Mr. Groth advised he would discuss this matter with Mr. Sokolosky. Mr. Groth also advised he was making attempts to contact all owners of the other properties and set up meetings with them. Mr. Groth advised he had talked with Mr. Hale concerning his matter, and that Mr. Hale wants specifications n.his prints that all entrances to his property will be repaired. Mr. Sawyer contacted Mr. V. E. Shaeffer, Minister of what was the Owasso Missionary Baptist Church, which is now Calvery Missionary Baptist Church. NIr. Shaeffer advised Mr. Sawyer that he did not know who the owners or the Trustees were, as the Trustee's Deed is simply made out to Owasso Missionary Baptist Church. Mr. Sawyer stated that he had found a mortgage signed by three men, and would do further research on this matter. OLD BUSINESS: Nir. Evans made a motion that upon receipt of the wage determination that the contract for the sewage treatment plant be placed for bid. Motion seconded by Mr. Henson. Ayes: Groth, Evans, Stamper, Henson. D'Ir. Groth stated that he had investigated Mr. Hale's complaint regarding water rates, and had come to the conclusion that there was no good reason for the town to change the policy regarding water rates at this time. Mr. Groth advised that Mr. Hale's problem with the sewage line on his personal property was being studied. A motion was made by Mr. Henson that a transfer of $1,500.00 be made from the Cemetery Fund to the General Fund. Motion seconded by Mr. Stamper. Ayes: Groth, Evans, Stamper, Henson. ,- i '~ February 1, 1971 -- Minutes Continued Mr. troth read a letter from the Tulsa Metropolitan Area Planning Commission, addressed to him, regarding Westport 2nd Addition which is proposed to be located near the German Church. The letter was to inform the council that a plan was -being processed through the TMAPC and would be reviewed February 3, 1971. This letter is attached hereto for reference. A copy of Mr. troth's letter that followed, relating the council's feelings and suggestions is also attached hereto. The council agreed that Mr. troth should attend this TMAPC meeting on their behalf. NEW BUSINESS: Mr. Stamper tendered his resignation from the Owasso City Council. Mr. Henson made a motion that the matter be tabled until the council's next regularly scheduled meeting. Motion was seconded by Mr. Evans. Ayes: troth, Evans, Henson.
