The Owasso Town Council met in regular session on June 7, 1971 at 7:00 p.m. in the
Town Hall.

The Owasso Town Council met in regular session on June 8, 1971 at 7:00 p.m. in the
Town Hall.

The minutes of the last meeting were read and approved as read.
Treasurers Report was given by R. Peel.
Motion was made by V. Duncan and seconded by D. Large to contact auditors of the
B. W. Vetter Co. for the annual audit. Ayes: Peel, Duncai'~ and Large.
Dean Large made a motion to let bids for new refuse contract by June 21, 1971. Motion
was seconded by V. Duncan. Ayes: Peel, Large, and Duncan. Advertising for such bids
will be in the Owasso Reporter June 10th and 17th.
Motion was made by V. Duncan and seconded by Dean Large to designate June 19, 1971
as Dog Day. Ayes: Peel, Dunca?~ and Large.
Dean Large reported the need for a new police car and is checking into prices and
will present his findings at the next meeting.
V. Duncan reported water pressure trouble in city water line. R. Peel suggested Mr.
Duncan contact Mr. Tyler and make a recommendation to the council.
Mr. Peel stated he had authorized Commissioner Harris to hire two people, if needed,
to help pick up trash accumulated in the city park due to the past storm. Mr. Harris
is sanding two trash trucks to do this fob.
The Owasso Assembly of God Church submitted plans for an addition to their present
structure which included an extension to the educational building on the north and a
new entrance on the south. Motion was made by D. Large and seconded by V. Duncan to

issue a building permit for said construction.
