The Owasso Town Council met in regular session on June 3, 1969, at 7:07 p.m. in the
Town Hall.

Mr. Groth announced that a joint council and planning commission meeting would be
held on Thursday, June 5, at 7:30 p.m.
A new law demands special training for policemen within a year of employment. Our
policeman, Bruce Davis will attend the 10-week course.
A letter from the ,Planning Commission recommended that no action be taken at this time
on the rezoning of the ~2ingo Valley Lumber Building for a Baptist Church, as the new
ordinance which will be in effect soon, will automatically permit use for a church.

Mr. Henson suggested Howard Stamper for councilman replacing Dean Large who has
resigned from Ward 2. The question came up of so many councelman being American Airlines
employees but the Board decided it was no problem.
Mr. Evans moved Mr. Howard Stamper be appointed for Ward 2. Mr. Henson seconded the
motion. Ayes: Grath, Evans, Henson.
Mr. Stamper was called to the meeting and sworn in by Mr, Sawyer.
Mr. Henson moved that Bruce Davis be a full time policeman at a salary of X410, per
month, beginning June 1, 1969. Mr. Stamper seconded the motion. Ayes: troth,
Henson, Evans, Stamper.
Mr. troth opened the only bid received for trash riauling service. It was from the
present contractor, Earl Rippetoe, with the same terms as before. Mr. Rippetoe said
he would agree to a 2-year contract at the same terms as he is planning to buy a
new vehicle for the service. Mr. Evans moved that he be given a 2-year contract,
Mr. Henson seconded the motion. Ayes: troth, Evans, Henson, Stamper.
Mr. troth suggested an individual sheet for each Town vehicle for a better check-up
on gasoline usage from our tank.
NIr. troth read a letter and showed a plat from T.h1,A.P.C. asking for our approval of a
subdivision consisting of 29 lots belonging to Vernon Lewis. P~ir. Henson moved we
approve the subdivision, Mr. Evans seconded the motion, Ayes: troth, Henson, Evans,
Stamper.
