HomeMy WebLinkAbout1969.09.15_City Council Minutes September 15, 1969 The Owasso Town Council met in regular session on September 15, 1969, at 7:00 p.m. in the Town Hall. Present: John Groth Bill Henson Howard Stamper Inez Odom Josephine Downey M. S. Sawyer President of the Board Member Member Town Clerk Deputy Clerk Attorney Absent: Joe Ross and Gary Evans The minutes of the last meeting were read and approved as read. The Planning Commission has met and will be sending recommendations on the rezoning of the Reed property. The special meeting has been set for September 29, at 7:00 p.m. Jim Grease' has resigned from the Planning Commission and gone to Dallas to work, leaving a vacancy. A letter was received from the Vetter & Co., Auditors, advising the Town of a new law -- 11-S-20.2-- stating that certain records may be destroyed after a certain period of time in the Town Office. Mr. Stamper moved and Mr. Henson seconded that the records may be destro~red after a vote by the Council. Ayes: Groth, Henson, Stamper. A letter has been received from Badger Meter Co. stating an increase in price but we have already signed an intent to buy at old prices for another year. Herb Tyler has drawn up some specifications on streets, sidewalks, storm sewers, etc to work on for a resolution. The water system will be another resolution. Herbert Hale said his trash problem with Mr. Rippetoe had been solved satisfactorily. He presented a petition dated September 11, 1969 to the Town of Owasso asking for de-annexation of his property at 700 N. Main, because he does not receiverrgood service from the Towns' The petition was turned to Mr. Sawyer for study and action at next scheduled meeting.
