Present: John R. troth Bill Henson Dean Large Joe Ross Jose; hire Downey Martha Boyd Absent: Evans Odom President of the Board Trustee Trustee Trustee Deputy Clerk Treasurer Trustee Clerk The minutes of the meeting of November 19, 1968 were read.and are to be corrected to read: Motion was made by Dean Large to install street lights and was seconded by Bill Henson. Ayes: troth, ftenson, Large, Ross, Evar_s. The treasurer's report was read by Martha Boyd whc suggested that X1000.00 be trans- ferred from the Sewer Fund to General Fund. Notion was made by Dean Large, seconded by Bill Henson.. Ayes: troth, Henson, Large, Ross. At 7:15 P.Ni. the hearing was held for the zoning application of Carousel Capital Corp. for property located at llbth St. No. and Garnett Road for residence trailer park, multi-family dwelling and commercial usage, as per meeting of November 19th, 1968. This was discussed for general zoning purposes only. The motion was made that this property be zoned subject to a finalized plat for mobile homessmulti-family and commercial usage to be approved by the Board of Trustees of the Town of Owasso. The motion was made by Dean Large, seccnded by Bill I-fenson. Ayes: troth, ~lenson, Large, Ross. At 7:30 P.Ni. the hearing was held for the zoning of an industrial park or. the Larkin Bailey property, subject to approval of the finalized plat. Motion was made by Dean Large for the property to be zoned for an industrial park, subject to a fina.li.zed plat being approved by the Bcard of `t'rustees of the Town of Owasso. Seconded by Joe Ross. Ayes: troth, Henson, Large, Ross. John troth presented a letter from Shibley Lane Engineering Company to D. M. Sokolos:cy on the costs of the water lines to Ator Heights Addition. P4r. Grath stated that the dire Department had. checked and found that the fire hydrants have a !~" connection, rather than the specified 4~" connection. Motion ti~.as made that the contract not be approved until all fire hydrants meet required specifications. Motion was made by Dean Large, seconded by Joe Ross. Ayes: troth, Henson, Large, Ross. John troth presented an application for a building permit on West 2nd Street by Bale Construction Company. Motion made by Joe Ross to talbe this subject until more information is given. Seconded by Bill Henson. Ayes: troth, Henson, Large, Ross. Motion was made by Dean Large to give a $20.00 Christmas bonus to all full time employees. This Christmas bonus to be paid out of Sewer Fund. Seconded by Bill Henson. Ayes; troth, Henson, Large, Ross. Notion was made by Dean Large to close City Offices on December 2kth and 25th for Christmas holidays. Other departments are to make arrangements for a two (2) day holiday for their employees. John troth advised the council of the availability of a Special Sessions Court for Owasso if facilities for such a court were made by the Town. of Owasso. Modifications of the present City Hall building were suggested. The Board of Trustees agreed to check furthez into this matter. John troth announced there was another opening on the Planning Commission as Bill Bold is going to regign. Motion was made by Dean Large that Alan Anderson be appointed to fill the unexpired term of Bill Boyd. Seconded by Joe Ross. Ayes: troth, Henson, Large, Ross. Dean Large brought up the matter of the Police Department using their time for checking on robberies in the early morning hours, instead of radar checking for speeders. The matter will be brought to the attention of the Police Chief by Bill Henson. Alan Anderson and John Duff, representing the Citizens Committee, presented a "Letter of Intent" to the Board of Trustees for the purpose of Health Center and Recreation facilities. The matter of different locations and the cost of land and construction was discussed. The Board members decided to table the matter until more facts are gathered. Motion was made by Dean Large to adjourn the meeting. Seconded by Joe Ftoss. Ayes: troth, Ross, Large.
