Present: John R. Groth V. D. Duncan Joe Ross Dean Large Ernie Foster Inez H. Odom Josephine Downey 5,544.73 2,951.27 The minutes of the last meeting were read and approved as read. Mr. Foster seconded the motion. Ayes: Groth, Ross, Foster, Large, Duncan. Allan Bradley had applied for a position as police officer but as there was no opening in that department, he was hired for labor in the water department at $2.00 per hour. A letter was received from Community Planning Associates stating that our grant should be approved soon after the first of the year. Letters and claims for damages were read from A. D. Mason, Attorney at Law, Per- taining to an accident which occurred on Highway 20 and 129th East Avenue between a city truck in the possession of Dillard Ridenhour and a car in which Viola Mae Craig and Aubrey LeRoy Stains were riding. Copies of the letters were sent to our Attorney and Insurance Company. Ordinance No. 85 was presented for the annexation of school property: The Southwest Quarter (SW~) of the Northeast Quarter (NEy.) of the Southwest Quarter (SWw) of the Southeast Quarter (SE4) less the South 132 Feet thereofi and the South 256.7 Feet of the North Half (N~) of the Northeast Quarter (NE4) _.m ~ s_ January 5, 1967 Minutes continued---- of the Southwest Quarter (SW4) of the Southeast Quarter (SEQ.) all in Section 19, Township 21 North, Range 14 East ;of the I.B.d~ M., Tulsa County, Oklahoma. Mr. Foster moved and Mr. Large seconded we adopt the Ordinance. Ayes: Groth, Foster, Ross, Large, Duncan. Mr. Large moved we declare an emergency and the Ordinance go into affect immediately. Mr. Ross seconded the motion. Ayes: Groth, Foster, Ross, Large, Duncan. The Ketcher easement was discussed. Mr. Groth said a 10 Foot easement of 330 Feet would be valued at approximately $40. at $500. per acre. Mr. Ketcher asked $500. and a Free Sewer tap. The City offered $165. Ketcher called later and asked $350. and a Free Tap which is equal to $625. Court costs would be approximately $500. to $700. plus probably $100. awarded to Mr. Ketcher. The Board must decide whether to sue or come to terms with Mr. Ketcher. No decision was made. Mr. Ross requested the next regular meeting be set for January 23 instead of the 16th because of his work. Mr. Ross so moved and Mr. Duncan seconded the motion. Ayes: Groth, Foster, Ross, Large, Duncan. Mr. Ross noted that Soc's Laundry is allowing diagonal; parking on Main Street. After discussion, it was decided legal as it -is set back off the street.
