HomeMy WebLinkAbout1967.10.16_City Council Minutes~a ,, October 16, 1967 The Board of Trustees of the Town of Owasso met in regular session at the Town Hall at 7:05 p.m. on October 16, 1967. Present: John R. troth Dean Large Gary Evans Bill C. Henson Inez H. Odom Josephine Downey Martha Boyd M. S. Sawyer Absent: Joe Ross President of the Board Trustee Trustee Trustee Town Clerk Deputy Clerk Treasurer Attorney Working The minutes of the last meeting were read and approved as read. Mx. troth read a letter from C. B. and Har-riett Sherrill, dedicating to the Town, property on the east site of the apartment building a.t. 314 North Main Street, making a full 75' right-of-way on Main Street except with a passible exception just south of the Sherrill Apartments to the Summers property just north of 3rd Street. A letter was read from Mrs. Ruth E. Cooper who was present, protesting a drainage con- dition which was created at the time the alley was graveled in Block 11, Old Town, Owasso, Mr. troth said he had already checked the matter and had asked Mr. Tyler to try to make ammendments. A copy of a letter was read which had been written to Mr. H. D. Hale from Mr. Bill Richardsonts Attorney, Frank M. Rowell, Jr., asking him to pay the $165. plumbing inspection fee owed by him to the Town of Owasso on plumbing done by Mr. Richardson, without A'h~. Rowell having to bring suit against him. Mr. troth said the fire department had asked for materials in the amount of $463.80. N~. Large moved we grant the request. Mr. Evans seconded the motion. Ayes: troth, Henson, Large, Evans. Pate Engineers have drawn up a tentative plan ;for sewage disposal, contemplating I1r. Reed furnish .money for an 18f' line from the Lagoon to Man Hole No. 7 at his complex for roughly $16,000. The Town would build the line then pay-back Dr. Reed all above the cost of an 8" line ~,rl~ich is required by him if built by a bidder. The Council expressed approval. A letter was read from Southwestern Bell Telephone Co., informing that within the next two ,years, all telephone numbers will gradually be shifted to ALL NUMBERS system.
