November 21, 1966
The Board of Trustees of the Town of Owasso met in regular session at the Town
Hall at 7:00 p.m. on november 21, 1966.

The minutes of the last meeting were read and approved as read.
Mr. Ross moved we write a letter to the Methodist Church authorizing the use of their
present sewer in Lots 5 and 6, Block 7, until the maintenance becomes excessive. Mr.
Foster seconded the motion. Ayes: troth, Foster, Ross, Large, Duncan.
Jack Tarner, 110 West 10th Street, complained about the Chief of Police threatening to
put him or his wife in jail, with no warrant and he was very discourteous, because
their dog got loose. He said he was guilty as the dog got loose twice but the police-
man had no right to be discourteous. Mr. troth promised to investigate the discourt-
ousness.
Mr. troth said John Kornegay is not eligible to serve on the Planning Board as he lives
out of the Town limits. He recommended Billy Whitaker, 20$ East 7th Street to take
his place. Mr. lluncan so moved and Mr. Foster seconded the motion. Ayes: troth,
Foster, Ross, Large, Duncan.
Mr. troth stated that Ed Hayes does not wish to be on the Board again after his term
expires on the last day of this year_ He asked the Council to be thinking of a re-
commendation to replace him.
Mr. Tyler has been using his pick-up for dog-catching which is unpractical. He and
Mr. troth found a used 1956 Fort belonging to Dale Large which we can purchase for
$325• Mr. troth suggested we use it on a rental agreement for two or three weeks,
then if it checks out o.k. we can let the rent apply to the purchase price. Mr. Foster
so moved. Mr. Ross seconded the motion. Ayes: troth, Foster, Ross, Large, Duncan.
Mr. Ross su;~gested we should have a Notary Public in City Hall. After some discussion,
it was decided to wait about it for a while.
Mr. Charles Summerlin of S & N Salvage, Locust Grove wrote that his truck had broken
and he had moved his equipment to Alva, and would not be able to move the old water
tower until January.
Mr. Sawyer said he had come to the conclusion that we can have a plummer~s code by
cutting out the State Code, cutting out lines we do not want and pasting sheets on
an Ordinance then making varifax copies.
Mr. W. M. Pennington, Route 1, said his water bill had been going up every month for
no apparant reason. He has checked his lines and can find no leak. Mr. troth
promised to have ~Fri~or-ty check his meter.
