HomeMy WebLinkAbout1965.01.04_City Council MinutesX35 January 4, 1965 The Board of Trustees of the Town of Owasso met in regular session at the Town Hall on the 4th day of January 1965, at 7:00 p.m. Present: W. J. Bryson Don Austin V. D. Duncan Inez H. Odom Josephine Downey Floyd Flournoy was absent. President of the Board Trustee Trustee Torn Clerk Deputy Clerk The minutes of the last regular meeting were read and approved as read. Mr. Wayne Love of Mansur & Steele presented a letter from Cline L. Mansur recommending we pay the balance of the Waterworks Extensions and Improvements Contract No. MO 11-2 withholding only $2,000 to cover a small balance of work to be done. He also presented a Final Closing Change Order which was approved but the Board agreed to withhold the 10~ agreed upon in the contract until final requirements are completed, but agreed to pay estimate No. 7 less the 10~. Mr. Hale offered to furnish paint to paint the name "Owasso" on the water tower. Mr. Bryson presented corrected Ordinance No. 54 repealing Ordinance No. 51 to annex Bethel Baptist Church property: A parcel of land situated in the ''outhwest corner of the Northeast Quarter (SE~) of the Southeast Quarter (SE4) of Section Nineteen (19), Township Twenty-one (21) North, Range rourteen (14) East of the Indian Base and Meridian, Tulsa County, Oklahoma, and more particularly described as a tract of land 20.1 rods (331.65 feet) North and South by 20 rods (330 feet) East and West containing approximately 2.6 acres in the said south- west corner, Tulsa County, Oklahoma., according to the U.S. Government survey thereof. Mr. Duncan moved we accept the ordinance. Mr. Austin seconded the motion. "yes: Bryson, Austin, Duncan. Mr. Hale, after having talked with Mansur, presented a contract between Hale Brothers and the City to be discussed, on water lines to his addition north of town. After some discussion, the Board decided to have an informal meeting at a later date to discuss the contract further.
