J. Bryson Don Austin V. D. Duncan Inez H. Odom Josephine Downey Floyd Flournoy was absent. President of the Board Trustee Trustee Town Clerk Deputy Clerk The minutes of the last regular meeting were read and approved as read except Mr. Hale corrected the statement that he was to furnish paint to paint the name "Owasso" on the water tower. It should have been: Hale offered to furnish paint to paint something pertaining to "Rams" or whatever school and Board. decided. The name "Owasso" is already or. the Standpipe. The Board asked Miss Do~mey to check cost of labor on painting the sign. Herbert Hale presented a reworked contract which had been discussed at two previous ~riforzn2,1 meetings since the last regular meeting. After discussion, Mr. Austin moved we adopt the Waterline Extension Contract North presented by Mr. Hale subject to approval of City Attorney and City ~rgineer, Mansur and to be altered as to legal form if necessary. The motion died from lack of a second. After more discussior:,-Hale said he would levee the contract with the Hoard for the Attorney to study and he would meet with the Board on the next regular meeting night February 1,'1965. Hale and Foster, his associate, had a conference then Hale asked for a motion to present the contract to the Attorney to put into legal form and to present to the Board at the next meeting for approval or disapproval. Austin made the motion. Duncar. seconded.. Ayes; Bryson, Austir:, Duncar.. Dr. Reed said rabies are near here and packs of dogs are on the streets. Something must. be done. He suggested dogs be penned as per ordinance. He suggested we have an employee make a pen on a truck and the officer have dogs picked up, taken to owners and owners fined, then use fines to destroy strays. Since, according to law, dogs must be kept three days before disposed of, the Board decided to make a deal with a Collinsville Vet, Dr. Bryson to take care of and feed the strays for three days, and to use the old City `t'ruck with chicken wire over it for this purpose. This plan is to be tried for two weeks until next meeting. Herb Tyler presented a list of work which needs doing and asked about extra labor to do it. The Board decided t o put an ad in the Owasso paper for three extra. men temporarily. A letter was read from Owasso School District No. I-11 for annexation of the following described land; The South 586.7 Feet of the NWw SWw SE4 and the SW~ NEB SW~ SE4, less the South 132 Feet thereof, and the South 256.7 feet of the N~ NE~ SW~ SE4a all in Section 19, Township 21 North, nange 14 East of the I.B. ~ M., Tulsa County, Oklahoma. ~-1 Minutes January 18, 1965 Mr. Austin moved we accept the request for annexation for publication. and set a hearing for the next regular meeting night. Duncan seconded the motion. Ayes: Bryson, Austin, Duncan. Mr. Bryson read a letter from an Industrial Relocation Service from Lake Mills, Wis. offering service for a fee of $10. per report. Mr. Austin su~-gested we write a letter asking the follow ing questions: 1. At whose discretion are the reports mailed? 2. How often are reports mailed? 3. Are reports limited to Oklahoma territory? The Board agreed to hire Billy N. Murphy to work as policeman three days per week and to work for water Dept. three days per week at $275. per month if he is interested beginning February 1, 1965.
