The minutes of the last meeting were read and approved as read.
Mr. Flournoy suggested we regulate backing out the wrong way on our streets by
having Mr. Sawyer make an ordinance. The Board agreed.
Jimmy Robertson asked permission to curb, gutter and make a driveway at his home,
502 N. Birch Street. The uoard agreed.
Mr. Austin said Mr. Condon, owner of the new Tastee Freeze north of town had asked
the Town to put a ~." water line from the meter at the north edge of the land owned
by Allyn to the edge of the land leased by Condon from Allyn. The Board decided the
cost of approximately $700 for the line was too much to spend for one meter. Mr.
Condon was called to come down for discussion. Mr. Sawyer was called for an opinion
and said the City was not obligated to run the line. It was agreed to discuss the
cost with Tyler and talk with Mr. Condon at a later date about the matter.
Mr. Bill Buffington of Star Homes Addition brought two bids for water lines in his
housing addition. He said that 400' of 6" line had already been installed at a cost
of ~4,298.Og. The Board agreed with Buffington to ask for new bids on the lines and
if the bids are lower than Buffington has received, he will pay the difference for
the lines already installed.
