Bryson Don Austin. V. D. Duncan Inez Odom. Josephine Downey M. S. S~.wyer Ralph Carr Absent: Floyd Flournoy President of the Board Trustee Trustee To;~rn Clerk Deputy Clerk Attorney Treasurer The minutes of the last regular meeting of January 6, 1961+ were read and approved as read. Mr. Spickel.mier asked for a street light installed at the corner of northwest 2nd Avenue and Cedar. Austin moved we install the light. Duncan seconded the motion. Ayes: Bryson, Duncan, Austin. Ruth Rule and Nancy Franke, park board members asked the City to maintain and control the park. Mrs. Rule stated that the purpose of the park board was to help raise funds for the park and to advise the City of park needs. It was agreed that a fee should be charged for park building use. Mr. Bryson stated that he would work whole-heartedly for the park. .Herb Tyl~::r said he would take care of installing a water line and check on the cost of grading grounds. Mr. Bryson asked Mrs. Rule to get by-laws drawn up and presented to the City. A motion was made by Austin and seconded by Duncan to annex real property owned by the Town of Owasso and located in the SE4 of the NEyI,, Section 30, Township 31, North Range 14 East, and more particularly described in warranty deeds recorded in Book 3844, page 342 and Book 3112, page 461, repsectively, in the Office of the County Clerk for Tulsa County, Oklahoma, and that such notices be given, petitions, resolution and~or ordinances be prepared,. filed and~or presented that may be necessary for the purpose of affecting such annexation. The above description is the present Rayola Park. Hilburn and Tyler stated that they had found a place to dump on property belonging to a AFr. Haggerty for w45• per month. Mr. Duncan moved and Mr. Austin seconded that tine use the dump. Ayes: Bryson, Duncan, Austin. Mr. Sawyer was asked to draw up a contract between the City and Mr. Haggerty. Reco.*nmend-cations read by Mr. Bryson. were not favorable for the V°ichita Tank & Bridge Corp, lowest bidder on the water toti~er repair. Mr. Bryson moved we accept the next lowest bid by Midwest Tank and Reservoir Service, of Pittsburg, Kansas for X1,367.00. Dunc~:n seconded the motion. 'yes: Br~.-son, Austin, Duncan. It was decided to transfer X500. from the R-fuse to the Water fund for repayment of Refuse truck. Mr. Bryson presented booklets of notice to bidders, proposal, contract & specifications, and bond forms prep; red by Engineers. Mr. Bryson moved we accept plans as sub:r_itted.
