June 1, 1964
The Board of Trustees of the Town of Owasso met in regular session at the Town
Hall on the 1st day of June, 1964, at 7:00 p.m.

The minutes of the last meeting of May 18, were read and approved as read.
Mr. Sawyer discussed suggested rates for building permits to be put into an
ordinance.
Mr. Sawyer presented an easement contract with the Reeds for the property on
which they are asking commercial zoning. The description wss omitted. A
discussion followed as to who should survey for the easement and who should pay
for the survey--the City or the Reeds. Austin moved we have the land surveyed
by Mansur & Steele Engineering Company tc find the best location for the easement
and that the pity pay for the survey. Duncan seconded the motion. Ayes: Duncan,
Austin, Bryson, Flournoy.
A motion was made b y Austin and seconded by Duncan that we pay Tyler for his
vacation and that he continue to work as he had asked. Ayes: Bryson, Flournoy,
Austin, Duncan.
Mr. Mansur was asked how much of the remaining X173.092. in the Waterworks Fund
could be invested until time for use. He promised to check and gi ve the Board
a suggestion.
The following bids were opened on Waterworks Extensions and Improvements MO 11-2
by Mr. Mansur: Section I Section II Section III

Mr. Austin moved we turn the bids over to the Engineers for study and recommendation.
Mr. Bryson seconded the motion. Ayes: Bryson, Flournoy, Austin, Duncan.

Mr. Flournoy asked the Board for authority to get the County started working on
our streets and drainage ditches. The Board gave him authority.
Gordon Clay and Fred Harmon had asked for raises to be discussed at this meeting.
Mr. Bryson reviewed present salaries which were $337.50 for Clay and X300.00 for
Harmon. Bryson said he was in favor of giving them a X25.00 raise each as of
June 1, 1964 if the money is available. The Board Agreed.
Mr. Bryson said he is in favor of advertining for bids on garbage pick-up. Flournoy
moved we ask for bids now, to be received on June 15th, 1964 and successful bidder
to start work July 1, 1964. Austin seconded the motion. Ayes: Bryson, Flournoy,
Austin, Duncan.
Clay asked what he could use to pick up stray dogs. He was told to wait 30 days
for a truck which would probably be available then.
Mr. Bryson suggested sending cards to all service stations asking if they are
willing to give discount on gasoline and to repair all flats. It was agreed.
