October 5, 1964
The Board of Trustees of the Town of Owasso met in regular session at the Town
Hall on the 5th day of October, 1964, at 7:00 p.m.

The minutes of the last meeting of September 21, 1964 were read and approved as
read.
Mr. Cunnings appeared with his proof of publications asking for commercial zoning
of his property behind Oklahoma Tire & Supply Store:
The South 25 ft. of Lot No. 1 and all of Lot No. 2,
Block 23, Original Town of Owasso, Tulsa County,
Oklahoma, according to the recorded plat thereof.(125 x 140 ft.)
No protests were heard. Mr. Cancan moved we zone the property. Bryson seconded
the motion. Ayes: Bryson, Flournoy, Austin, Duncan.
Mr. Larkin Bailey came with proof of publications and asked for his ten acres:
NE Corner of NW~, Section 30, Township 21, North,
Range 14, East, Tulsa County, Oklahoma
which has been platted. It was agreed to have Mr. Sawyer draw up an ordinance
to be presented to the Board on October 19, 1964.
Mr. Ray Smith sent a map showing new water lines in Smithview Addition. It was
acceptAble.
Mr. Joe Steed, Mr. Clark, his engineer and Mr. Bob Campbell of Public Service Co. came
before the Board and discussed a 400-acre tract west of the German Church which Mr.
Steed is developing.
Mr. Austin refused to sign a claim from Byrd Construction Company until he receives
a written, norarized agreement from them that they will go back and redo damaged
streets and yards caused by installing water lines.
Mr. Bryson replied, "Let the records reflect that 10% of the amount earned by Byrd
Construction Co. ($6,366.70) has been retained, and refusing to sign a claim is no
way to do business." He suggested that Mr. Austin write a list of repairs that he
wishes to be made and present it to the Company.
