HomeMy WebLinkAbout1964.12.07_City Council Minutes~.__ .-~ December 7, 1964 The Board of Trustees of the Town of Owasso met in regular session at the Town Hall on the 7th day of December, 1964 at 7:00 p.m. Present: W. J. Bryson Floyd Flournoy Don Austin V. D. Duncan Inez Odom Josephine Downey President of the Board Trustee Trustee Trustee Town Clerk Deputy Clerk The minutes of the last meeting were read and approved as read. Mr. Flournoy moved we invest $5,000. of water fund for 90 days and $5,000. for six months. He moved that we also invest X1,000. of Ceme~ery fund for six months. Austin seconded the motion. Ayes: Bryson, Flournoy, Austi'h, Duncan. Mr. Bryson read the invitation to bid on police car, then opened and read the following bids: Quality Chevrolet, Collinsville $1,364.28 With trade Bill Kleck Ford, Collinsville (2-door) 1,389.00 Success Motor Co., Skiatook 1,057.60 Duncan moved we trade for the Dodge at Success Motor Co., Skiatook. Flournoy seconded the motion. Ayes: Bryson, Flournoy, Austin, Duncan. Mr. Bryson moved we hire an engineer to survey the sewer system with plans of extending to City limits southeast of town. Cancan seconded the motion. Ayes: Bryson, Flournoy Austin, Duncan. No decision was made on an engineer. Dr. Reed said he had given the loath Center permission to use chemical portable toilets but they have never bought one. He said tr;ere are no rest rooms at all there and they should not be allowed to have dances without available toilets. Mr. Bryson suggested we refrain action until after youth meeting scheduled for 7:30, Tuesday evening, December 8, 1964. Mr. Bryson read a letter asking for annexation of Bethel Church property: A parcel of land situated in the southwest corner of the Southeast Quarter (SE~) of the Southeast Quarter (SE~) of Section Nineteen (19), Township Twenty-one (21) North, Range Fourteen (14) East of the Indian Base and Meridian, Tulsa County, Oklahoma, and more particularly described as a tract of land 20.1 rods (331.65 feet) North and South by 20 rods (330 feet) East and West containing approximately 2.6 acres in the said southwest corner, Tulsa County, Oklahoma, according to the U.S. Government survey thereof. They were given permission to proceed with publication. The Board agreed to install a street light at 100' Elm Street.
