HomeMy WebLinkAbout1963.11.04_City Council Minutes~9 Aovember 4, 1963 The Owasso Board of Trustees met in regular session at 7;30 p.m. November 4, 1963 at City Hall. Present: W. J. Bryson Floyd Flournoy Don Austin V. D. Duncan Inez Odom Josephine Downey Ralph Carr President of the Board Trustee Trustee Trustee Tokn Clerk Deputy Clerk Treasurer The minutes of the last regular meeting of October 21, were read and approved as read. Mr. Duncan moved we adopt ordinance No. 42 pertaining to the burning of trash and garbage in the city. Mr. Flournoy seconded the motion. Ayes: Bryson, Flournoy, Austin, Duncan. Duncan moved that an emergency exists and that the ordinance go into effect immediately, because of existing emergency. Mr. Flournoy seconded the motion. Ayes; Bryson, Flournoy, Austin, Duncan. Mr. Bryson suggested we get information from Collinsville on ways to prevent houses from being moved too near property lines. Mr. White reported that Bob Barrett had been elected chairman of the re- apportionment committee. He reported that all members were in favor of re-apportionment and that a count of houses in the city was in the process of being made. A meeting of the ecmmittee is set for Saturday, November 9, at 2;00 p.m. for the purpose of the discussion of division of wards. Mr. Flournoy moved we start council meetings at 7:00 p.m. instead of 7:30. Mr. Austin seconded the motion. Ayes; Bryson, Flournoy, Austin, Duncan. Mr. Bryson reported that Herb Tyler had found a truck for $1,050. which he thinks is a good buy for the city. It was decided to check on a new truck before a decision is made.
