HomeMy WebLinkAbout1963.12.02_City Council Minutes~9 December 2, 1963 The Owasso Board of Trustees met in regular session at 7:00 p.m. on December 2, 1963 at City Hall. Present: W. J. Bryson Don Austin V . D . Duncan Inez Odom Josephine Downey M. S. Sawyer Ralph Carr President of the Board Trustee Trustee Town Clerk Deputy Clerk Attorney Treasurer Mr. Flournoy was absent. The minutes of the last regular meeting of November 18, were read and approved as read with the exception, Mr. Bryson suggested we change bid to estimate from the Bill White Chevrolet Company. Mr. Sawyer presented an ordinance on house moving for the Board to stud-. Mr. Hilburn appeared and suggested that some refuse customers were not paying enouth for the amount of refuse being hauled. teach customer was discussed and the following changes were made: previous amt. suggested amt. Herb asked that alleys be cleaned before spring so weeds can be kept cut. It was decided to notify property owners by tt,:e newspapers. Herb was asked to contact Mr. McCarty, County j~oad Superintendent, to do some work on our city streets. The following bids were opened on a pick-up truck: Fred Jones Ford $1,634.00 Bill White Chevrolet 1,698.36 Buzzard Chevrolet Co. 1,672.67 Patrick & Watson Ford 1,680.00 Crager GMC 1,654.00 Ira Leach Ford 1,835.76 Mr. Austin moved we buy the GA~C. Mr. Durc:;n seconded the motion. Ayes: Bryson, Austin, Duncan. 91 December 2, 1963 A motion was made by Austin to raise Bradley~s salary $15.00 to $350.00 effective December 15, 1963. Mr. Bryson seconded the motion. Ayes: Bryson, Austin, Duncan. Mr. Duncan moved. we raise Fred Harmon $25.00 per month. Motion died for lack of a second. The following claims were approved: Noble L.
