The meeting was called to order at 7:30 P.M. at City Hall by
W. J. Bryson, President of the Board, on February 4, 1963.

The minutes of the previous meeting were read. There being no
additions or corrections to the minutes, they stood approved as read.
The treasurer's report as of February 3, 1963 was presented as follows:
General Fund X1,344.78
Street & Alley Fund 3,497.24
Sinking Fund 7,853.81
Water Fund 7,515.44
Sewer Fund 218.58
Sewer Improvement Fund 7,532.93
Meter Deposit Fund 1,465.05
Park Fund 154.41
Cemetery Fund 1,101.74
Let the record reflect that federal funds in the amount of $10,800.00
for sewer construction have been received as expected. These funds constitute
the first partial payment of federal funds for this purpose.
Ordinance No. 39, regarding refuse collection, as drawn by the city
attorney was brought before the board for consideration. The matter was tabled
until the next regular meeting.
The town clerk was excused from the meeting at 8:25 P.M.The deputy
clerk continued the minutes.
Let the record reflect the board has been informed that rent on the
City Hall will be increased from $30.00 to $60.00 per month commencing July 1,
1963.
Let the record reflect that the board will accept bids for a new
police car.
C. B. Shannon tendered his resignation as police officer and asked
the board to release him of his duties within one week as he was going into
a business venture and needed to be r~aeved of his duties within that time.
His resignation was accepted and will be effective as of February 9, 1963 at
11:59 P.M.

T}~e city attorney had been authorized to take all steps necessary
to place the%charter before the people.
