The purpose of the meeting was to discuss the engi.neer~s proposed
plans and cost estimates for a water storage and filtration system for the
Town of Owasso.
Let the record reflect that all members,~eing present, waived
notice of the meeting.
Mr. Henry Daubert, of Owen, Mansur & Steele, consulting engineers,
met with the board as per request to answer questions relating to their
preliminary report of waterworks' enlargements and improvements for the
Town of Owasso.
Qthers present for the discussion were Theo McConnell, Ernie
Foster, Don Austin, D. Sokolosky, Fred QPhite, Herb Tyler, and the Owasso
Citizen News.
The engineer stated the Q-inch meter the town has on the flow line,
with proper pumping facilities, will supply the Town of Owa~~so for a projected
12 years, or will service a population growth of 5000. The plant, as proposed,
using a 500,000 gallon storage reservoir, would serve a population of 5,000
people on a 100-gallon per user basis. Based on 150-gallon per user basis,
which is extremely high in the estimated use of water for Owasso, it would
serve a town of approximately 3,300 people.
Ildr. Hayes moved the board ¢ive Mr. Daubert of Owen, Mansur & Steele,
authorization to being the cost estimate up t o date for a 500,000 gallon
reservoir and eater treQtment plant to serve a population growth of 5,000.
