The board explained that such use of his property was illegal and the Board had had complaints from the surrounding property owners. r4r. Sun~ners expressed his desire to abide by the law and the Board stated it would give him reasonable time to dispose of the animal. N!.r. iii. S. Sawyer came before the Board as a candidate for town attorney. Mr. Sawyer Vras hired as Town Attorney on a month to month basis. The Board. agreed to give Mr. Sawyer thirty days' notice if they desired to terminate his employment. It was further agreed that the Mix~fi.rnum Fee Schedule for legal fees would be a general guide to any extra fees chargeable to the Town of Owasso. Mr. Sawyer's salary will be w75.00 per month. Hayes moved P.r. Sawyer be hired on tree above basis. Second, Charney. Ayes, Bryson, Hayes, Charney. Hayes advised N.r. Sawyer of the scooter noise and curfew problem. Sawyer will attempt to draw an ordinance covering this problem. Bryson announced he and i~~s. J. xay Smith went to Oklahoma City on Tuesday, June 12, 1962, to meet with the State Highway engineers concerning the type of curb to be used. w!~en P~[ain Street is refurbished. Bryson acknowledged copy of letter from Owen, Mansur & Steele to Charles Newton, Oklahoma State Departrrient of Health, requesting minor changes in the specifications of the sewer expansion construction. Bryson acknowledged letter from the State Highway Commission submitting revised plans for improvement of Main Street for three blocks and stating the utility lines will have to be moved in order to make this project eligible for contract letting. The Board requested Pr. Sawyer draw an ordinance to establish a Board of Adjustment to handle certain oning problems. The Board also requested Mr, Sawyer draw an ordinance to contro~ the placement of trailers as residences in the Town of Owasso. Bryson will request Herb Tyler contact Raymond May concerning his drainage problem discussed at the meeting of June 4, 1962. The Board excused Marguerite Ni. Reed, Town Clerk, from the meetings to be held in July inasmuch as she will be out of town. Bryson announced that the Board would not pursue the condemnation suit against Roy L. Henry. Approved: r_ ~~ ;~~ WAIVER OF NOTICE OF SPECIAL MEETING OF THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE TOWN OF OWASSO, OKLAHOMA We, the undersigned, being all of the members of the Board of Trustees of the Town of Owasso, Oklahoma, do hereby consent to a special meeting of the Board of Trustees to be held at the Town Hall at 7:30 po m. on June 27, 1962, for the purpose of executing documents of Offer and Acceptance pertaining to the Federal Grant in the amount of $14,760.00 offered under the provisions of Public Law 660, as amended. Said documents to be accompanied by a reso- lution authorizing and directing the President of the Board of Trustees to sign same. Also to execute and sign a resolution approving the entry into a right-of-way, public utility and encroachment agreement with the State of Oklahoma to expedite State Aid Project Noo 309(2), and do hereby waive notice of such meeting. Dated at Owasso, Oklahoma, this 27th day of June, 1962. ~~
