November 12, 1962
A special meeting was called to order at 7s30 P. M. by the
President of the Board, W. J. Bryson, at Town Hall, Owasso, Oklahoma,
November 12, 1962.

Charney moved that the board dispense with the reading of the
minutes until the next regular meeting, November 19, 1962. Second, Hayes.
Ayes, Bryson, Hayes, Charney.
The purpose of the called meeting was to discuss the shut-down
of the Spavinaw water flow line and its possible effect upon the town of
Owasso. Herb Tyler had previously been infornned by an employee of the
Tulsa Water Department that the line would be shut down for four or five
days, although no formal notification had come to the Board of Trustees.
Charney reported concerning his telephone conference in his office with
A. B. Jewell, Superintendent of the Tulsa Water Department, with. Hayes
and Bryson present. Mr. Jewell was not able to ansxer all questions
concerning this situation and will report back on Tuesday, November 13, 1962,
at 1:30 P. M. Dr. and Mrs. Reed reported the facts given to than by Mr.
Clyde Eller of the Tulsa City-County Health Department concerning the
same situation. Mr. Eller had stated his department had an engineer,

Mr. Honeyman, working on the project and to date they could foresee no
emergency as far as the Owasso area was concerned. He did state, however,
that Owasso might experience a drop in water pressure but assured the Reeds
that Owasso would not be cut off completely from a water supply. He stated
his office would remain in contact with Mr. Jewell~s office inasmuch as
this was his concern healthwise. Further, he stat ed the Tulsa Water
Department was being most cooperative concerning Owasso~s situation.
Inasmuch as Police Officer Shannon is hospitalized, Hayes
requested permission to hire Pete Isaacs as temporary policeman on a daily
basis, based on a rate of X250.00 per month. Bryson and Charney indicated
their agreement.
Hayes moved the meeting be adjourned. Second, Charney. Ayes
Bryson, Charney, Hayes.
