Bryson, at City Hall, Owasso, Oklahoma, June 19, 1961. Present: N.J. Bryson Don Davidson J.W. Allsup Harold Charney Richard Ernissee Marguerite M. Reed H.W. Wright, Jr. President of Board Trustee Trustee Trustee Treasurer Town Clerk City Attorney Minutes of the previous meeting were read. There being no additions or corrections to the minutes, they stood approved as read. The meeting was opened to new business to be presented from the floor. Mr. Ted Rawlins, 5749 East 26th. Street, Tulsa, Oklahoma, TE 5 -5749, discussed the reconditioning of the water tower. He is an authorized agent of Water Tank Service Company, Inc. 6115 Denton Drive, Dallas 35, Texas. His preliminary examination resulted in an estimated cost of $749.00 for (1) completely scaling and scraping the tank, (2) two coats of asphalt paint inside the tank and coating outside with aluminum paint, He estimated four to five days to complete job, weather permitting. His company offers terms up to six months without interest. After six months, interest is based on remanining balance. Bryson requested a firm estimate be submitted with a time limit stated. Mr. Bill Hodges, Rush Implement Company, Skiatook, made inquiry about a proposed )urchase of tractor. Bryson stated all companies will be asked to submit bids. Mr. Hodges emphasized the necissity for accurate specifications to allow all bidders to present fair and accurate bids. The council stated this was its intention. Mr. A.B. Fields was dresent to discuss his refuse contract which expires June 30, 1961. Mr. Fields stated he would be glad to renew the contract as it stands for another year. Davidson moved that the Board continue the refuse hauling contract of July 1, 1960 for one year according to the pro- visions thereof. Second, Charney. Aye, Bryson, Allsup, Davidson, Charney. Bryson requested that all refuse hauling complaints be handled as quickly as possible. Bryson also suggested that Fields be sure to notify citizens about improper containers, etc. Treasurer's Report: General Fund $ 21012.94 Sinlang Fund 49844.12 Street & Alley Fund 3,296.74 Water Fund 79064.33 Sewer Fund 1,442.10 Meter Deposit Fund 1,96o.o5 Park Fund 246.81 Cemetery Fund 19379.44 Sewer Improvement 11248.76 A complaint from Mr. and Mrs. Marvin Fry concerning water drainage damage to their property wqs turned to the street commissioner for handling at his discretion. Meeting June 19, 1961 Continued: 02 4 _; The Board discussed past water pricing to the Owasso School BoErd which has produced a deficit to the town of Owasso. Charney moved that the city charge the Owasso Public Schools for water at the same rate that Owasso purchased water from Tulsa. Second, Davidson. Aye, Bryson, Allsup, Davidson, Charney. Mr. Hale is to comply by June 29, 1961. The board requested that the minutes reflect the city attorney has advised that Ordinance #13 is ineffective to replace ordinance #3 in that it is improperly drawn and is not in accordance with the Statutes of the State of Oklahoma (11 OS 580) providing for the replacement of ordinances. Therefore, Ordinance #3 is in effect. Second, Allsup. Aye, Bryson, Allsup, Davidson, Charney. IN24,!!� Meeting of June 19, 1961 Continued: Allsup moved that the Board employ Cecil Powers of B.W. Vetter & Company, Tulsa, at a fee of $350.00 to audit the books of the Town of Owasso at the close of the fiscal year. Second, Charney, Aye, Bryson, Allsup, Davidson, Charney. The Board directed the clerk to acknowledge letter dated June 14, 1961 from the City of Collinsville, under signature of Paris Carlburg, City Clerk, concerning a joint water venture and state the Board's interestand will- ingness to condider a joint water venture.
