HomeMy WebLinkAbout1970 17_Adopting Provisions of State Fire Code_1970.01.19RESOLUTION NO. 17 ADOPTING PROVISIONS OF OKLHAOMA STATE FIRE CODE WHEREAS it hs been brought to the attention of The Board of Trustees of The Town of Owasso, and it is deemed, considered and found by said Board, that the necessity exitst that a uniform code regulating and providing requirements to be met by applicats for building and construction permits, insofar as same may relate to fire control and prevention, should be adopted, and WHEREAS the Board finds that the "Fire Code", now in effect and adopted by the State of Oklahoma, contains such rules, provisions and requirements that can and should apply and be enforced and required by The Town of Owasso in regard to the application for and the issuance of building or construction permits, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE TOWN OF OWASSO, OKLAHOMA: That the present Fire Code of the State of Oklahoma, and the rules and regulations therein contained and now in force and effecy, be and are hereby adopted by The Town of Owasso, as the Owasso Fire Code, and that no building or construction permit shall issue unless plans and specifications, which shall be to be contained in or accompanying the application therefore, shall disclose and show full compliance with said code and the provisions and requirements thereof. EMERGENCY. Whereas conditions exist which threaten the health, property, life and welfare of the inhabitants of The Town of Owasso, Oklahoma, it is immediately necessary for the preservation of the peace, health, safety and the safety of life, and property of The Town of Owasso and the inhabitants thereof, that this resolution be put into full force and effect, and an emergency is hereby declared to exist, by reason therof, this resolution shall take effect and be in full force from and after its approval and adoption. APPROVED AND ADOPTED this 19th day of January, 1970, and the EMERGENCY CLAUSE voted upon separately and passed by unanimous vote of the Board of Trustees of The Town of Owasso, Oklahoma, this 19th day of January, 1970.
