Council met in regular session 7:30 P.M. September 5, 1961L. Meeting called
to order by W.J. Bryson, President of Board.

After reading of the minutes by the Deputy Clerk, Charney moved that the
minutes be corrected to read that if the policeman is discharged by the
town then his duties as school guard will also terminate. Seconded by
Allsup, and minutes approved as corrected by the following vote: Aye, Bryson
Allsup, Charney. Nay: None.

Bryson states that Lyle McCheseny called in regard to a stop sign for 8th
and Birch Streets.
Treasurer reports that the General Fund is about depleted, and we're westing
for certification of our budget from the Excise Board.
The Board adjourned the meeting temporarily to reconvene at the South School
Cafetorium to conduct the question and answer session as previously advertised.
After answering questions on the plans for sewer expansion, and the number of
additional houses it will accomodate which is roughly one hundred, discussion
was made on the $1.00 assessment and other phases of the water department.
Rosecrans asked about the improvement of main street that was to have been done
by the State Highway Department. Bryson stated that a letter had been forwarded
to Harold J. Stuart of the Highway Commission.
Charney asks for opinions in regard to law enforcement in Owasso.
Richard Dixon says the Board should be laudeet on voting all should pay alike
on Occupation Licenses.
The Clerk was instructed to write a letter to a plumber who is plumbing in the
Town without a license.
The Board expressed disappointment at the small turnout and is intrested in
knowing how to create more interest in City Government.
Upon motion to adjourn by Allsup, seconded by Charney, meeting adjourned.
