Nichols ~ 136.00 Viking Supply Co. 1937.00 Minutes of last meeting read and approved as read: Mr. Irland of American Tank was before the board to talk on the subject of enlarging our water tank. Our present tank has a capacity of 17,500gallons, he proposes to add two more course of steel and increase the capacity to 35,000 gallons. He stated that to add the two courses of steel would cost X0,500 and that an added cost of 32.50 per linaer foot for welding would be added. Providing that we furnish the steel, which would cost X600.00. Mr. Brown was before the board talking on the aroposed bond issue and the ways of financing it. Mr. and Mrs. Homer Kauffman and Mrs. Norma Griffith were before the board protesting the Beauty Shop at 1423 North Lousiana, wtllch is in the residential district. Motion made by May that we enforce the zoning ordinance as it is written. All business now operating which have not complied with this ordinance shall be required to take immediate steps to comply with this ordinance It shall be the inter~oretation of this board that the present use of a certain business location shall cease only upon the closing of said business, and not merely by change of owner- ship. Seconded by Davidson. Ayes: Davidson, McGuire, T~1ay, Abstain: Beane. Dr. Evans eras before the board explaining the need for a filtering system for our water. He ex~olained the function of the tests that are run on the water samples. Motion made that we terminate the service of the night officer to be effective the 20 th of October 1959.
