HomeMy WebLinkAbout1956.09.17_City Council Minutes September 15, 1956 Special meeting of City Council. Members present: Claude Chittenden Bill Boyd, Edgar Rice, and Glenn Rosecrans. The following was read: The Water Superintendent days off will be Sunday and Monday. The Sewer Superintendent days off will be Tuesday and Wednesday. On time off of one man, the other shall be responsible for both water and sewer department duties. Time and one half overtime shall be payable, after eight hours in any one day. However, said overtime shall be authorized by the responsible department head, or chairman of the board of trustees. Vacation time shall be computed upon a basis of /4 of a day per month accumulative to a total of two work weeks per year. Vacation time shall be at the discretion of the employee and the department head responsible for said employee. Classification of work shall have no bearing upon salaries paid. Sick leave s'~all be computed upon the basis of five working days per years accumulative to a total not to exceed tvrenty five vrorking days, covering a period of five calendar years. Days off of said employees small be subject to change as required. Ed Rice made a motion to accept the above as read. Seconded by Glenn Rosecrans and motion carried. Minutes were accepted by board as read. A motion to adjourn made by Rosecrans, seconded by Rice, and meeting adjourned. Co. of Tulsa, J. R. Campbell of Tulsa Water Dept., Floyd Flournoy, Calvin Holloway, Kenneth Thomas, Earl Kerr, John McGill, J. W. Allsup, Robert Zundel, 0. I. Kasler, and Gleason Sanborn. Minutes of previous meetings read and approved. Treasurer's Report as follows: Meter Deposit 2,639.80 Street and Alley 941.12 Sewer Fund 4,036.55 General Fund 1,120.45 Water Fund 2,904.46 Water Works Fund 653.43 Sinking Fund 6,220.88 r k The following claims were presented: Jack Woodall 5.00 Clyde Fry 5.00 W, E. Moore 5.00 Glenn Combs 5,00 Robert Zundel 120.20 E. D. Wallace 15,00 Josephine Downey 84.80 Margaret Williams 10.50 J. w. Allsup 134.75 Adair Typewriter Company 24.00 R. E, Nichols 3773.00 A motion was made by Chittenden to pay claims as read. Seconded by Rosecrans, and carried. A motion made by Rosecrans to give Flournoy and Jim Nichols permission to tap the Owasso water line. Seconded by Chittenden, and carried. A contract will be drawn betvreen Swanson and Nichols to supply the necessary water. Mr. Kerr met with the board in regards to payment on master meter in Jonesville district. He will meet with the Jonesville board and report to the Owasso board on Monday, September 24. The board agreed that Bill Allsup shall notify any water user in case water meter box has not been installed and how the estimated bill is figured. A motion made by Chittenden to grant Bill Allsup perr:~iission to buy necessary water supplies. Seconded by Rosecrans and motion carried. A motion for adjournment was made by Rosecrans, Seconded by Chittenden, and meeting was adjourned. Approved: President City Clerk Septemb er 24, 1956 Regular meeting of town council.
