Carried, all ayes. Motion by Rosecrans that Monday, September 4, 1956, be declared a legal holiday and the Water Dept, office will be closed on said day. Seconded by Chittenden. Carried, all ayes. Kenneth Lavendusky volunteered his services as City Clerk. This action was suspended until the next meeting night when all members are present. Motion by Rice that the minutes be adopted. Seconded by Chittenden. Carried. Motion by Chittenden that meeting be adjourned. Seconded by Rosecrans. Meeting adjourned. Bryson (Wages) 88.20 Motion made by Rosecrans that the claims presented be paid. Seconded by Rice. Carried. Motion made by Rosecrans to accept agreement as written between City of Tulsa and City of Owasso to re-route water line to build their sewer disposal plant. Seconded by Rice. Carried, all ayes. Motion made by Rosecrans to authorize J. W. Allsup to build and install a new basket for sewer plant and also buy new locks for sewer boxes. Seconded by Rise. Motion carried, all ayes. Motion made by Rosecrans that a table be purchased from E. D. Wallace for $15.00 as soon as funds are available. Seconded by Rice. Carried. Motion made by Rosecrans that we thank Mr. Lavendusky for his offer to take the job as City Clerk, and obtain the services of some woman to take care of said duties. Motion died for lack of a second. Motion made by Rice that Mr. Lavendusky~s offer to take minutes and give any assistance possible as a citizen and not as official clerk be accepted. Seconded by Chittenden. 3 ayes, 1 abstaining. Motion made by Rosecrans that Robert Zundel be paid $,50.00 for wages and sick leave for the month of August. Seconded by Chittenden. Carried, 3 ayes. Investigation concerning police coverage to he held in abeyance until next week. Motion made by Rosecrans that meeting be adjourned. Seconded by Rice. Meeting adjourned.
