HomeMy WebLinkAbout1972 40_City joins OMRF_1972.06.19OWASSO, OKLAHOMA RES0LXM10N-B0;URD OF TRUSTEES N. 40 RESOLVED THAT: (1) nee Agreement to of and combine the retirement fund with the retirement funds of other incorporated Cities and Towns, and the Trust Indenture titled "Oklahoma Mnicipal Retirement Fund, " respectively, copies of which instrumnts have been presented to the Board of Trustees at this meting, be, and they are hereby each approved and adopted effective as of July 1, 1972 (2) The President of the Board of Trustees and the City Clerk be and they are hereby authorized to forthwith execute the said Agreement and Trust instrumnts and to do all other acts and things necessary and proper to put the Agreement and Trust into full force and effect. (3) Thie President of the Board of Trustees and the City Clerk are hereby authorized, if deeirined necessary, to sifbmit, or have submitted, executed, verified counterparts of the Ordinance, the Employee Retirement System (attached to the Ordinance as "Exhibit A"), the Agreement and Trust instrumnts, and is adoption resolution, to the District Director of Internal Revenue at Oklahoma City, Oklahom, in support of a recruest for a letter of determination to the effect that the Employee Retiremnt System and Trust are qualified for tax purposes. (4) Whereas, in the judgmnt of 4.--he Board of Trustees of the Town of Owasso, Oklahoma, the public peace, health and safety of the City and the inhabitants thereof demand the immediate passage of this Resolution, an ener is hereby declared, the rules are suspended and this Reso- lution shall be in full force and effective on it­ assage. ,Vproved and adopted this —L-Z- day e 19 o-a B
