HomeMy WebLinkAbout1984 02_Election Ward 3 and 4_1984.02.07Published in the Owasso Reporter, Owasso, Tulsa County, Okla ®, Feb 9,, 1984 of March, 1984, for the purpose of a Primary Election to elect a Councilperson to the City of Owasso, Oklahoma, for the Wards and term as follows: WARD NO. TERM 3 3 years 4 3 years WHEREAS,a General Election, if necessary shall thereafter be held on April 3, 1984, to elect said Councilpersons. NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE 1. That a non - partisan Primary Election for City Council - person, as above set out, be held on March 20, 1984; (a) That General Election thereafter, if necessary be held on April 3, 1984. (b) Only qualified electors of the City of Owasso who reside in the respective wards shall be qualified to hold the offices of Councilperson. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of Owasso, Tulsa County, Oklahoma, hereby certifies to the Tulsa County Election Board that the following numbered precincts are to be opened: 751, 752, and 753. The City of Owasso certifies that there are no qualified electors that live within one hundred feet of the fenceline that goes into Rogers Countl The filing period is from February 21, 1984, through February 28, 1984, for the Primary Election. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that in accordance with Oklahoma State Statutes for municipalities with a population of six thousand a Declaration of Candidacy must be accompanied by a cashier's check or certified check in the amount of $50.00.
