HomeMy WebLinkAbout1991.12.17_OPWA Minutessl OWASSO PUBLIC WORKS AUTHORITY DECEMBER 17, 1991 On Tuesday, December 17, 1991 the Owasso Public Works Authority met in a regular session in the Council Chambers at the Community Center per the Notice of Public Meeting and Agenda posted on the City Hall bulletin board at 4:00 p.m. on Friday, December 13, 1991. ITEM 1: CALL TO ORDER. The meeting was called to order at 7:00 p.m. with Chairman Phillips presiding. ITEM 2: FLAG SALUTE. .El The flag salute was led by Chairman Phillips. ITEM 3: ROLL CALL. PRESENT: John Phillips, Chairman Patricia Marlar, Vice Chairman Mark Thompson, Trustee Bob Randolph, Trustee Jason Gittelman, Trustee Rodney J. Ray, City Manager Ronald D. Cates, O.P.W.A. Attorney Jane Buchanan, Secretary ABSENT: None A quorum was declared present. ITEM 4: REQUEST APPROVAL OF THE MINUTES FROM THE DECEMBER 3, 1991 MEETING. A motion was made by M. Thompson, seconded by J. Gittelman, to approve the minutes as written, by reference hereto. AYE: Thompson, Gittelman, Marlar, Randolph, Phillips NAY: None MOTION: Carried 5-0 1 I� OWASSO PUBLIC WORKS AUTHORITY DECEMBER 17, 1991 ITEM 5: REQUEST APPROVAL OF THE CLAIMS A motion was made by P. Marlar, seconded by B. Randolph, to approve the claims as follows: (1) $19,340.15 and (2) Payroll $18,397.78. AYE: Marlar, Randolph, Gittelman, Thompson, Phillips NAY: None MOTION: Carried 5-0 ITEM 6: REQUEST TRUSTEE CONSIDERATION OF AND APPROPRIATE ACTION RELATING TO O.P.W.A. RESOLUTION NO. 91-01. A RESOLUTION ESTABLISHING RATES CHARGED FOR THE PURCHASE OF WATER. Mr. Ray presented this item to the Trustees stating the City purchases water from the City of Tulsa. Notice was given that water rates would be increased to the City effective January 1, 1992. This Resolution would increase all water rates by ten cents per one thousand gallons of water to offset the cost increase charged by the City of Tulsa. The new rates would be $6.07 for the first 1,000 gallons and $2.44 for each additional 1,000 gallons of water used by in -city users and $11.47 for the first 1,000 gallons and $4.44 for each additional 1,000 gallons of water used by rural users. A motion was made by B. Randolph, seconded by P. Marlar, to approve Resolution No. 91-01 as presented. AYE: Randolph, Marlar, Thompson, Gittelman, Phillips NAY: None MOTION: Carried 5-0 ITEM 7: REPORT FROM O.P.W.A. MANAGER. None ITEM 8: REPORT FROM O.P.W.A. ATTORNEY None ITEM 9: UNFINISHED BUSINESS.
