A RESOLUTION NOMINATING BOYD M. SPENCER AS TRUSTEE ON THE
BOARD OF THE OKLAHOMA MUNICIPAL RETIREMENT FUND.

,91HEREAS, the City Council of the City of Owasso, Oklahoma
has the right to nominate some person to serve for a five year
term on the Board of the Oklahoma Municipal Retirement Fund; and
WHEREAS, said City Council finds it in the best interest of
the City of Owasso, Oklahoma, that the Mayor be nominated to

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF OWASSO, OKLAHOMA, that

Boyd M. Spencer is hereby nominated to serve on
the Board of the Oklahoma Municipal Retirement
Fund for such term and emoluments as may be ex-
tab wished by law.
Section 2: Notification
The City Clerk, will notify the Trust Adminis-
trator of the Oklahoma Municipal Retirement
Fund of the Resolution by certified mail.

SUBJECT: Election of Trustee
This is to notify you of the election of one Trustee to serve for a five year term
on the board of the Oklahoma Municipal Retirement Fund beginning October 1, 1980,
through October 1, 1985. This election is due to the expiring term of Trustee,,,
James Luckett.
The governing body of each employer shall be entitled to cast by resolution one
vote for each of the offices to be filled. The ballot that will be furnished to
you must be returned to us by registered or certified mail between July 20th
and August 30, 1980.

ITEM 6 - APPROVE RESOLUTION NO. 80-7 NOMINATING A CANDIDATE FOR TRUSTEE TO SERVE

Motion was -made by Dennis Burke, seconded by Clyde Fry, to Approve Resolution 'No.
80-7, nominating Boyd Spencer to serve on the Oklahoma Municipal Retirement Fund
Board for a Five Year term.

Nays - None
Abstain - Mr. Spencer

ITEM 7 - REQUEST TO PURCHASE A PORTION OF CITY PARK LAND IN ATOR HEIGHTS

Mr. Charney said acceptance of that land would have to meet covenant restrictions
of the subdivision. He also pointed out if there was a grant for the Park, we
might not be able to sell part of this park land. Mr. Charney was instructed by
Mayor Spencer to research the legal aspects of this proposal and report back to
the Council at the meeting of July 1, 1980, at which time this would be on the
agenda. Mr. Charney requested an abstract of Ator IV which Mr. Guilfoyle was to
bring to his office.
ITEM 8 - APPROVE CONTRACT FOR PLANNING SERVICES WITH TULSA METROPOLITAN AREA
PLANNING COMMISSION
Carol Dickey outlined the Contract for Planning Services with Tulsa Metropolitan
Area Planning Commission for Fiscal Year 1980-81, and by reference made a part
hereof.
She indicated that the total cost had risen $3,000 for the new contract, to cover
all services, which would include approximately 80% of her time. She assured the
Council that costs would not be raised furing the year.
Motion was made by Al Lambert, seconded by Dennis Burke, to Approve Contract for
Planning Services with Tulsa Metropolitan Area Planning Commission.
Ayes - Messrs Spencer, Lambert, Fry, Burke
Nays - None
Motion carried.
