HomeMy WebLinkAbout1974.08.27_OPWA MinutesAugust 27, 1974 The Owasso Public Works Authority met in called session Tuesday evening, August 27, 1974 at 10:16 p.m. to discuss the budget. Present: Joe Ross Chairman Noble Campbell City Manager Jerry Myers Vice —Chairman Glenna Anderson City Treasurer Robert Ball Trustee Marcia Riggs City Clerk Dean Large Trustee Josephine Downey Deputy Clerk V. D. Duncan Trustee L. D. Lang Water Dept. A 5%o Cost of Living raise was approved for all O.P.W.A. employees. Two (2) men will receive an additional $25.00 a month for heavy equipment operators; Acting Water Superintendant was given an additional $30.00 a month salary increase. The City Manager presented an Estimated Budget for Maintenance & Operations as follows: Postage 3,000.00 Office Supplies 1,000.00 Uniforms 1,300.00 Water meters, pipe, clamps, supplies 15,000.00 Gas, Oil, Grease 39500.00 Truck repair 1,500.00 The City Manager recommended that our present trucks be retained and all OPWA units be equipped with Commerical radios & outside speakers. He noted that this expenditure can be made from Revenue Sharing monies and estimated the cost at $6,500.00. The Authority approved all the City Manager's recommendations.
